Emirates Airlines is poised to revolutionize the travel experience by implementing Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire fleet. The first installations will occur on Boeing 777 aircraft beginning November 2025, with full deployment expected by mid-2027, providing passengers with internet speeds comparable to ground connectivity during flights.
This new feature enables travelers to watch movies, engage in online gaming, conduct voice calls, and work efficiently from both seatback screens and personal devices. The installation will roll out at an impressive rate of approximately 14 aircraft monthly, covering the airline's fleet of 232 planes. The Airbus A380 installations are set to commence in February 2026.
Each Boeing 777 will be fitted with two Starlink antennas, while the Airbus A380 will implement a pioneering three-antenna system to deliver superior coverage across all cabin classes. Additionally, live TV services via Starlink will launch on personal devices and will extend to seatback screens by late December 2025.
Passengers will enjoy complimentary access to this Wi-Fi feature, simplifying connectivity with a user-friendly one-click login—no fees or memberships required. The inaugural Boeing 777-300ER, A6-EPF, has already showcased this cutting-edge technology at the recent Dubai Airshow, offering high-speed internet access to attendees on the ground.
This project is part of Emirates’ broader initiative to enhance its cabin offerings, including plans for new Premium Economy sections, revamped Business and First Class experiences, and improved entertainment systems, ensuring that passengers receive a premium experience throughout their journeys.
By adopting this initiative, Emirates positions itself as a leader in inflight connectivity, providing dependable internet access that markedly improves productivity and entertainment options for its travelers.
