Dubai is all set to stage one of the most significant open-water events globally, as the OCEANMAN World Final Championship makes its return to Kite Beach from 5 to 7 December. The event is expected to attract over 2,800 swimmers representing 93 nations, marking a record-breaking turnout that solidifies Dubai’s status as a global sports hub.

In partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, the championship will showcase competitions for men, women, and children. This year's event has attracted more than 1,200 national champions and numerous elite athletes, with nearly 80 percent of participants travelling from overseas, emphasizing Dubai's allure in the international sporting arena.

Competitors include some of the top names in open-water swimming. The women's roster features Barbara Pozzobon, Giulia Gabbrielleschi, Clémence Coccordano, and others, while the men's side boasts Logan Fontaine, Axel Reymond, and more. This diverse lineup promises a thrilling competitive environment.

The action kicks off on Friday with professional races, followed by team, sprint, and children's events on Saturday. Qualified swimmers will tackle challenging 10 km and 5 km distances, further enhancing the event's competitive spirit.

Returning to Dubai are athletes like Ukrainian Olympian Mykhailo Romanchuk, who looks forward to another exhilarating experience in the city. First-time competitor, Olympic swimmer Leonie Beck, praised Dubai's impressive landscape and the exceptional racing conditions the beachfront venue provides.

As Dubai prepares to host this elite sporting event along its stunning coastline, the OCEANMAN World Final promises an exciting weekend of racing, a rich array of international talent, and showcases the city’s ability to organize high-profile global competitions.
