Dubai Police were honoured with five awards at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2025 conference held in the United States, recognising their contributions to international law enforcement and innovation in policing.
Major General Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, said the accolades reflect Dubai Police's standing as a global security leader, attributing the success to sustained institutional effort, creativity and compliance with international policing standards.
He highlighted that the recognition validates the force’s strategy to strengthen the security ecosystem through operational projects, specialised training and leadership development. “Our emphasis on innovation, preparedness and strategic collaboration has established Dubai Police as a model for modern policing,” Al Mulla added.
In the institutional category, the force received three awards: the Prevention of Transnational Crime Award (awarded to INTERPOL Team 15), the Leadership in Crime Prevention Award for the "SecurePlay" initiative, and the Leadership in Law Enforcement Research Award, conferred to the General Department of Training.
Two officers earned individual honours: Engineer Major Muhammad Omar Almuhairi received the Leadership in Police Aviation Award, while Captain Sama Abdulrahim Al Zarouni was named to the IACP 40 Under 40 list recognising rising global leaders in policing.
These recognitions underscore Dubai Police’s capabilities in crime prevention, research and leadership, and reinforce the UAE’s commitment to innovation-driven security, marking a significant step in the force’s pursuit of international policing excellence.
