In celebration of Eid Al Etihad, residents of Dubai will benefit from three days of complimentary public parking. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has declared that all paid parking zones, with the exception of multi-level terminals and the Al Khail Gate N365 zone, will be free on December 1 and 2. With Sundays being free, this effectively extends the holiday weekend for motorists. Parking meter services will resume on December 3.
RTA’s customer service and vehicle testing locations will close for the holiday, though Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, and RTA Headquarters will operate around the clock, providing continuous digital services.
Public transport will operate on revised schedules during the holiday. The Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will be available from 5:00 am to 1:00 am on November 29, December 1, and 2, while hours will shift to 8:00 am to 1:00 am on November 30. The tram service will mirror these timings, starting at 6:00 am on the designated dates and at 9:00 am on November 30.
Passengers can keep track of bus service alterations via the S’hail app, ensuring access to real-time route updates. Marine transport users will also find revised schedules through the official platform.
With extended public transportation hours and free parking in a majority of areas, Dubai aims to ensure a seamless long weekend for both residents and visitors traversing the city.
