Dubai Reinforces Its Vision for Unified Public Service

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Dubai, UAE — Dubai has reiterated its dedication to offering exceptional public services as His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum convened with the leaders of the City Makers initiative, a collaborative government program aimed at elevating services that significantly influence community life.

In a meeting under the auspices of the General Secretariat of The Executive Council, Sheikh Maktoum assessed advancements in service improvements aligned with Dubai’s ambition to be recognized as the world’s “best and most beautiful city.” He underscored that this initiative is driven by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who advocate for a cohesive governmental model focused on the needs of citizens.

Sheikh Maktoum emphasized that Dubai’s collaborative governmental approach remains a vital asset. He highlighted that anticipating community needs and delivering integrated, seamless services are essential for fostering the emirate’s social and economic growth. He stated that the evolution of public services will continue to prioritize the populace, fostering synergy among all government agencies.

The discussion also highlighted the significant growth in Dubai. The emirate's populace has surpassed four million, while Dubai International Airport recorded 93.8 million passengers in the twelve months leading up to September 2025, securing its place among the top three global travel hubs in late 2025. Officials noted that these accomplishments reflect the efficacy of unified governmental efforts across various sectors.

The City Makers initiative focuses on prioritizing services that yield tangible community advantages, including social support programs, health and empowerment services, endeavors to uphold cultural values, and collaborations that enhance the readiness of public systems.

Sheikh Maktoum expressed gratitude to the teams responsible for these advancements, referring to them as “city makers” whose efforts bolster community welfare and align with the objectives of the Dubai 2033 Plan.

With governmental divisions operating cohesively, Dubai is set to redefine standards for service excellence and secure its competitive status on the global stage.
