Tragic Shooting of Delhi Youth Linked to Personal Vendetta

Post by : Mina Rahman

In a harrowing event in northeastern Delhi, a shooting incident took the life of a 24-year-old man, Faizan, at a cafe in Maujpur on Thursday night. Reports indicate that a personal vendetta motivated this assault.

A video shared on Instagram by the alleged shooter, using the handle 'moinqureshiii_', reveals his admission regarding the fatal incident. The suspect stated that an altercation months prior, where Faizan had slapped him, incited him to take such drastic action for retribution. He asserted that neither his family nor friends played any part in the offense and denied any financial motives.

In the video, the suspect declared, "I killed Faizan out of a personal grudge. My family had no involvement in this. He slapped me four months ago, and that’s why I took his life." He refuted allegations made by Faizan's relatives suggesting that the shooting stemmed from financial issues.

Faizan's brother, Salman, previously asserted that Faizan had debts and accused both the shooter and his father of confronting him over this financial obligation. Salman is calling for the arrest of both individuals.

The incident transpired around 10:28 PM at Mr King Lounge and Cafe. After suffering multiple gunshot wounds, Faizan was transported to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

According to Salman, Faizan was shot three times—once in the head and twice in the chest—and also had a cut on his hand.

Law enforcement has initiated a case under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Teams have been organized to locate the suspect, and investigations continue to unravel the full details of the situation.
