Abu Dhabi is reinforcing its status as a key player in motorsport innovation. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, recently met with Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, as preparations ramp up for the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The meeting centered on solidifying strategic alliances in advanced automotive technologies and artificial intelligence. The aim is to deploy cutting-edge innovations from the emirate into the global motorsport scene. Both parties examined avenues to implement emerging tech solutions into racing strategies, vehicle performance, and enhancing fan engagement.
Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by prominent figures, including His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi; and His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince. Their involvement symbolizes Abu Dhabi's commitment to promoting innovation and global collaboration in high-performance industries.
This meeting underscores the emirate’s desire to not only host top-tier motorsport events but to also pioneer technological advancements that shape the future of racing and automotive excellence.
