AlUla is set to host an exhilarating equestrian event this Saturday as it readies itself for the 2026 World Endurance Championship. In collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, this test race is a significant milestone in showcasing the region's capabilities for international sporting events. An impressive roster of 270 riders from 18 countries will participate, enhancing AlUla's stature within the global equestrian community.

The feature of the day is the 160 km three-star test race aimed at gauging AlUla's preparedness for the upcoming world championship. The race will be overseen by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), with officials diligently monitoring every aspect of the event including trails, timing systems, facilities, and arrangements for international judges. Such meticulous preparation ensures that AlUla aligns with the rigorous standards expected of an elite equestrian competition.

In addition to the main race, the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation Endurance Cup will introduce a 120 km two-star race and a 100 km one-star race. This initiative aims to embrace a broader spectrum of riders while providing opportunities to compete across AlUla's striking terrains. By offering varying race levels, organizers are committed to creating a platform where both seasoned and novice riders can demonstrate their talents in a secure and well-managed environment.

Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, this event is a testament to AlUla's ambitions to become a premier venue for international endurance competitions. Focus has been placed on enhancing facilities, ensuring robust support systems, and delivering an exceptional experience for all involved. This collaboration underscores Saudi Arabia's drive to elevate sports tourism and international sporting events within the region.

The test race plays a crucial role, functioning as a comprehensive examination to confirm readiness for the 2026 World Endurance Championship. Every detail, from the technical management of the race to the safety and comfort of participants and their horses, is meticulously reviewed. Organizers are optimistic that these thorough preparations will exemplify AlUla’s capability to host a world-level championship, capturing the interest of the global equestrian realm.

With 270 participants from various corners of the globe, this event promises to showcase endurance, skill, and commitment.
