Al Habtoor Strengthens UAE Charity with Real Estate Contributions

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In a notable act of philanthropy, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, has donated five residential units from the prestigious Al Habtoor City project to the Real Estate Developers’ Endowment. This initiative, launched in collaboration with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and overseen by the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC), aims to ensure sustainable charitable endeavors throughout the UAE.

The Al Habtoor Group will manage these units, with proceeds earmarked for humanitarian and social programs. Generated funds will target initiatives in healthcare, education, and assistance for marginalized groups, including orphans, widows, and individuals with disabilities.

Al Habtoor remarked on the significance of endowments as enduring instruments for societal benefit, stating, “Our nation thrives on a tradition of philanthropy. These endowments reflect our commitment to UAE values and serve the community.”

This initiative accentuates the strengthening synergy between private enterprises and the endowment sector, urging real estate developers to actively engage in community welfare. Furthermore, it underscores the UAE’s mission to foster a culture of generosity and establish enduring support for those in need.

Utilizing real estate assets for charitable purposes, this program offers a reliable source of support for impactful initiatives, ensuring that community contributions persist for years to come.

The Real Estate Developers’ Endowment serves as a benchmark for how businesses can significantly impact social advancement, illustrating that strategic philanthropy aligns harmoniously with corporate responsibility.
