Abu Dhabi’s Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) completed a significant two-day mission in Singapore, where it signed seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with premier local construction, engineering, and architecture companies. These agreements seek to boost innovation and modular construction within the Emirate’s US$54+ billion infrastructure development initiative.
Heading the delegation, ADPIC Director General Engineer Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid was accompanied by senior officials from the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), and major developers such as Aldar, Modon, Bloom Holding, and LEAD Development. They collaborated with Singaporean experts in prefabricated construction, digital twins, sustainable practices, and modern project management methodologies.
The agreements were established with BCA International, Surbana Jurong, Meinhardt Group, Singapore Institute of Architects, CPG Corporation, TOM Singapore, and RSP Architects. These collaborations aim to enhance knowledge transfer and sustainability practices within Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure initiatives.
The visit featured high-level discussions, detailed project presentations, and guided tours of Surbana Jurong Campus and Teambuild ICPH modular construction sites. Developers from Abu Dhabi pointed out prospects in mixed-use developments, residential areas, and integrated urban neighborhoods, while Singaporean partners demonstrated cutting-edge construction methods and smart city planning tactics.
This roadshow contributes to ADPIC’s international strategy, following the debut Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit held in June 2025, which attracted over 4,100 participants from more than 100 nations, showcasing the Emirate’s growing desire to implement global best practices in constructing resilient, sustainable, and digitally-enhanced urban environments.
The initiative also reinforced Singapore’s position as a center for smart city innovation, while highlighting Abu Dhabi’s dedication to infusing global insights into its infrastructure blueprint. With these agreements secured, Abu Dhabi is set to advance projects that meld technology, sustainability, and innovative delivery frameworks, sculpting the future of the Emirate’s urban realm.
