Abu Dhabi is gearing up to be a leading hub for emergency medical innovation with the Civil Defence Authority hosting its inaugural International EMS Conference from 25 to 27 November 2025. The event aims to enhance ambulance services and pre-hospital medical care in the region.
Over the course of three days, the conference will bring together top physicians, specialists, and emergency responders globally, creating a space to exchange expertise, groundbreaking research, and innovative practices. Participants will have access to nine focused training workshops for healthcare professionals and emergency responders, alongside public workshops accredited by the American Heart Association covering first aid and CPR.
A key feature of the conference is the Ambulance Challenge, where both local and international teams will tackle realistic emergency scenarios, evaluating their speed, teamwork, and performance under pressure. This experiential element highlights crucial skills and readiness for real emergencies.
Through fostering collaboration among local and global emergency medical bodies, the conference aspires to improve operational efficiency, share best practices in disaster management, and solidify Abu Dhabi's status as a pioneer of advanced emergency medical care in the region.
