Awqaf Abu Dhabi Partners with ADIB for Digital Endowment Enhancement

Awqaf Abu Dhabi Partners with ADIB for Digital Endowment Enhancement

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In an initiative poised to revolutionize charitable giving in Abu Dhabi, the Awqaf Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) have forged a strategic alliance. This partnership is designed to enrich the endowment landscape, facilitate digital advancements, and amplify sustainable contributions across the Emirate.

As part of this collaboration, an integrated framework has been established for licensed endowment entities, encompassing businesses, institutions, real estate assets, and agricultural ventures. These entities are now eligible to open tailored bank accounts with ADIB, gaining access to a variety of preferential banking services aimed at fostering transparent and efficient management of endowment funds.

ADIB will deliver Sharia-compliant offerings, including online banking, payroll options, account management tools, and both collection and payment systems. This ensures secure and efficient handling of every financial operation, while adhering to Islamic principles, thereby enhancing operational accountability for endowment institutions.

The collaboration further enables the public to directly contribute to specified endowment portfolios via ADIB’s digital channels. Donors can support various initiatives in healthcare, education, social welfare, orphan care, and community development. All contributions will be channeled into dedicated accounts set up by Awqaf Abu Dhabi, ensuring transparency and effective fund management.

This partnership strengthens Awqaf Abu Dhabi’s regulatory and supervisory functions, aligning with its mission to establish Abu Dhabi as a leading hub for forward-thinking and well-managed endowment activities. By marrying technology with governance, this initiative is expected to nurture a robust ecosystem that maximizes social impact, fosters financial inclusion, and encourages sustained philanthropic participation throughout the Emirate.
