Abdul Rahman Ahmed Abdul Haq, a talented 19-year-old Jiu-Jitsu athlete from Baniyas Club, has made waves by securing a gold medal in the 56 kg amateur division at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which is currently being held at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City.

This young champion shared that the practice of Jiu-Jitsu has significantly changed his life, instilling discipline, confidence, and mental resilience. He noted that the sport has reshaped his approach to life's challenges, whether on the mat or elsewhere, influencing his perspective on competition and personal growth.

In a post-victory interview, Abdul Rahman remarked, “Jiu-Jitsu has completely changed my life. It taught me the value of commitment and discipline. It has pushed me to face challenges with determination. Before I started, I was just a regular person, but now I feel more organized, responsible, and self-assured.”

His journey in Jiu-Jitsu began in school, fueled by the unwavering backing of the UAE's wise leadership, which promotes sports culture among students nationwide.
