UAE Champions Global Alliance Against Muslim Brotherhood at European Forum

The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Party convened a significant conference centered on the Muslim Brotherhood and the implications of political Islam, attracting Members of the European Parliament from diverse political factions, alongside notable officials such as His Excellency Mohammed Ismail Al-Sahlawi, UAE Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

During discussions, attendees addressed the threats posed by the Muslim Brotherhood and its influence on European society. Speakers raised concerns about the group's recruitment strategies and highlighted its potential to compromise security and stability. Many attendees commended the United Arab Emirates for its proactive stance in labeling the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist entity and urged the global community to consider the UAE's experience in the fight against extremism.

In his address, Ambassador Mohammed Ismail Al-Sahlawi reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to fighting terrorism, extremism, and violence. He remarked that the UAE continues to take decisive action against the destabilizing efforts of Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups across the globe.

Al-Sahlawi underscored that the UAE's approach is anchored in fostering coexistence, tolerance, and peaceful values, firmly rejecting all forms of violence and extremism. He pointed out that robust international and regional cooperation is vital for effectively addressing terrorism and extremist ideologies.

In addition, the ambassador welcomed initiatives from various nations to designate particular branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in the region as terrorist groups. He indicated that these actions were driven by credible reports associating those branches with illicit activities, extremist propaganda, and ties to terrorist organizations.

Al-Sahlawi asserted that such initiatives bolster global activities aimed at preventing violence and countering threats to security and stability. He reiterated the UAE's unwavering support for all worldwide efforts focused on combating terrorism, fostering extremism, and promoting peace, security, and stability at both regional and international levels.

The conference concluded with a collective emphasis on the necessity of ongoing collaboration among governments and institutions to effectively tackle extremist challenges and protect the safety of societies globally.
