Qatar’s Labor Minister Engages with Global Peers at ILO Conference

During the 114th International Labor Conference hosted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Qatar's Minister of Labor, HE Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, engaged in crucial discussions with labor ministers from various nations.

Dr. Al Marri held separate meetings with HE Dr. Mohammad Haidar, Lebanon’s Minister of Labor; HE Mutasim Ahmed Saleh Adam, Sudan’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare; HE Hind Kabawat, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor of Syria; HE Monica Recalde de Giacomi, Paraguay’s Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security; and HE Tseliso Seth Levalo Mokhosi of Lesotho.

The sessions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations in labor sectors and exploring pathways for deeper partnerships between Qatar and the nations represented. Discussions also included strategies for improved collaboration on workforce policies and employment challenges.

Taking place amidst a global gathering of labor ministers, officials, and representatives from the workforce, this conference serves as a platform for tackling pressing labor issues and opportunities.

Qatar’s active role at this conference underscores its dedication to fostering international cooperation and sharing insights in labor-related fields.
