In Carrollton, Texas, just north of Dallas, a devastating shooting incident near the K Towne Plaza shopping center resulted in two fatalities and three injuries, according to local law enforcement. Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo reported that officers responded to gunfire reports shortly before 10 a.m. Upon arrival, they found one victim deceased at the scene, while three others were rushed to local hospitals for emergency care. A second victim was located later at an apartment complex tied to the suspected shooter.

The suspect, identified as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho, fled the scene but was apprehended nearby after a brief pursuit. During questioning, he reportedly confessed to his role in the shooting.

Chief Arredondo noted that efforts are ongoing to fully ascertain the events leading up to the incident. Authorities have reassured the public that there's no immediate danger.

The FBI and other federal agencies supported local officials in the investigation, temporarily closing parts of the shopping center for evidence collection.
