The Raja Saab Surpasses ₹133 Crore; Sequel in Development

Prabhas’ latest film, The Raja Saab, which debuted on January 9, has made an impressive mark at the box office, raking in ₹130.25 crore during its initial week. Despite a slight dip in collections in its second week, the film still gathered ₹3.50 crore on its eighth day, bringing total earnings to ₹133.75 crore.

On its second Friday, The Raja Saab boasted an average occupancy of around 35% across Telugu-speaking areas. Evening showings drew the largest audience with a 43.54% occupancy rate. Afternoon screenings followed closely at 37.57%, while night shows maintained a steady rate of 36.85%. Morning shows, conversely, attracted the fewest viewers at 21.57%.

The film tells the story of Raja Saab, played by Prabhas, an ordinary man living with his grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. She believes her late husband, Kanakaraja, will return from an important mission. The plot unfolds with Raja Saab’s emotional and supernatural journey, confronting a mysterious man resembling his grandfather, leading to a heartfelt endeavor to reunite the elderly couple.

Alongside Prabhas, the film features a stellar cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, Boman Irani, Murali Sharma, VTV Ganesh, and Prabhas Sreenu. Produced by IVY Entertainment and People Media Factory, the film adds to their legacy of successful projects.

Recently, director Maruthi Dasari revealed that a sequel to The Raja Saab is already in the works. While maintaining the horror theme, he assured fans that the new installment would introduce an entirely different narrative and setting, aiming for a fresh take designed to elevate the horror experience.

With its striking box office numbers and plans for a sequel, The Raja Saab continues to enthrall audiences, generating excitement among fans looking forward to more.
