Thamma's Box Office Report: Day 6 Approaches ₹100 Crore

Post by : Raina Nasser

Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Ayushmann Khurrana star in the successful horror-comedy film Thamma, which is maintaining its momentum at the box office. By day six, the film's earnings hit ₹13 crore, bringing its total to ₹91.70 crore domestically. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Thamma is emerging as a standout entry in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

As per industry insights from Sacnilk, the film's box office figures saw an uptick over the weekend, compensating for a slight decline observed during the week. The movie had a solid 23.19% Hindi occupancy on Sunday, indicating strong audience interest. Its engaging mix of supernatural elements, emotional depth, and comedy keeps the audience captivated, allowing it to generate consistently robust business across theatres nationwide.

Thamma's collection has also surpassed the lifetime grosses of Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya (₹68.99 crore) and Sunny Sanskari's Ki Tulsi Kumari (₹60.35 crore). On its fifth day, the film mobilized ₹13.1 crore, revealing a 31% increase from Friday's ₹10 crore, thus underscoring the positive word-of-mouth.

On a global scale, Thamma has crossed the ₹100 crore milestone within just five days post-release, confirming its success on both domestic and international fronts. The film's broad appeal, alongside unexpected cameos and stellar performances by the lead actors, has contributed to its popularity.

Set in a narrative of a tumultuous love story intertwined with horror, Thamma is the fifth addition to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, following Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2. Blending elements of horror, comedy, and emotion, Thamma continues to lead the box office charts and is on track to become one of the major hits of Bollywood in 2025.
