CAB Sports and DXB LIVE, the teams behind the upcoming Apex Games, have revealed their partnership with Technogym in anticipation of the event’s first edition, set for June 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
With this new collaboration, Technogym will act as the Official Technical and Performance Partner, supplying all necessary competition equipment and enhancing the overall experience for athletes during the event.
The Apex Games introduces a fresh, hybrid fitness competition in the UAE that merges running with functional fitness challenges. The structure consists of four running segments, each followed by fitness stations crafted to assess endurance, strength, speed, and holistic athletic capabilities.
Competitors can enter in individual, doubles, or team categories, encouraging participation from both elite athletes and fitness aficionados of varying abilities.
The event has garnered substantial support within the community, bolstered by activities at Apex Fitness Test (AFT) Gym and several fitness-centric initiatives throughout Dubai recently.
Organizers report that professional and solo category registrations have already been exhausted, with over 1,200 participants signed up just weeks ahead of race day.
Following the June event, the organizers aim to roll out four additional Apex Games events across the region as part of an overarching growth strategy.
Nick Cartwright, CEO of CAP Sports, expressed aspirations to establish a world-class sporting brand from the UAE, inviting both elite competitors and everyday fitness lovers to take part. He emphasized that the collaboration with Technogym will further uplift the athlete experience.
Michel Mourou, Managing Director of Technogym UAE, expressed pride in supporting a competition that champions health, performance, and community involvement, while also noting Dubai's emerging status as a global hub for sports and fitness events.
Khaled Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of DXB LIVE, reiterated the organization’s dedication to backing pioneering sporting events that promote active lifestyles and enhance Dubai’s position in the international events arena.
