Real Madrid had a great game in the Club World Cup, beating RB Salzburg 3-0 and finishing first in their group. One of the key players was Aurelien Tchouaméni, who usually plays in midfield but took on a new role as a center-back in a 3-5-2 formation created by coach Xabi Alonso.
After the game, Tchouaméni said the team followed their plan well and is improving every day. "We’re doing better with and without the ball," he said. "Now we have to prepare for the next big match against Juventus. Every game from now is like a final."
He also praised coach Xabi Alonso, saying that the team is learning more about what the coach wants. “We stayed compact and moved the ball well. We’re understanding his ideas more each day,” Tchouaméni added.
Another exciting moment came when Jacobo Ramon, a young defender, made his Club World Cup debut. He came on after Antonio Rudiger had a small injury scare. Ramon was happy to play and said the team is getting better with the new coach. “We were more organized today, and that showed on the field,” he said.
He also gave a shoutout to Gonzalo Garcia, who scored in the game. “We’ve known each other since the youth academy,” Ramon said. “He’s doing really well and I’m very happy for him.”
Now, the whole team is focused on their next match against Juventus in the round of 16.
