His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has landed in the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the 46th GCC Summit, signifying a crucial step in regional collaboration. This visit underscores the strong bond between Oman and Bahrain, as both nations strive to enhance unity in the Gulf region.

Upon his arrival at Sakhir Air Base, His Majesty received an enthusiastic and respectful welcome. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Crown Prince and Prime Minister, personally welcomed him and his delegation. This warm reception illustrates the enduring friendship and mutual respect shared between the leaders and their nations.

In a ceremonial display, His Majesty walked through two lines of the Royal Bahraini Guard of Honour, which were ready to pay their respects. This grand welcome showcased Bahrain’s gratitude for the Sultan’s attendance at this significant regional event.

Following the honour guard, His Majesty engaged with various senior officials who had come to greet him. Among those present were Jassim bin Mohammed Al Bedaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC; Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and several others, including senior military figures.

Moreover, His Royal Highness Prince Salman also took a moment to greet the Sultan’s accompanying delegation, further emphasizing the mutual esteem held by both nations’ leadership.

Once the welcoming ceremony concluded, Prince Salman accompanied His Majesty to the reception area at the airbase. There, during brief discussions, the Crown Prince once again expressed a heartfelt welcome, referring to Bahrain as the Sultan’s “second home,” a sentiment reflecting the close bonds between Oman and Bahrain.

His Majesty expressed profound gratitude for the gracious welcome and the meticulous arrangements made for his visit. His remarks about the strong Oman-Bahrain relationship highlight a shared commitment to fostering cooperation among Gulf nations.

Subsequently, His Majesty and the Crown Prince headed to Sakhir Palace, designated as the Sultan’s residence throughout his stay. This pivotal move marks the commencement of his involvement in the 46th GCC Summit, where vital discussions regarding regional stability, cooperation, and development are anticipated.

This visit reaffirms the close relationship between Oman and Bahrain as well as the ongoing efforts by Gulf leaders to bolster unity, align common objectives, and craft a progressive future for the GCC. Through His Majesty’s attendance, Oman continues to affirm its pivotal and respected role in regional diplomacy.
