His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, led an important meeting of the Executive Committee of the ADNOC Board of Directors.
In the meeting, His Highness looked at ADNOC’s strong financial performance in the first part of 2025. He also reviewed how the company has been growing and improving across different important areas.
One of the major updates shared during the meeting was ADNOC’s success in producing unconventional gas for the first time in Abu Dhabi. This big achievement was made possible by using advanced technologies and working closely with top international energy companies.
Another highlight of the meeting was the introduction of ADNOC’s new AI tool called MEERAi. This smart tool will help leaders make faster and better decisions. ADNOC plans to use MEERAi in many parts of the company, with a full launch happening later this year.
His Highness said that these achievements are very important. They help make ADNOC even stronger as a top global energy company. He also said these efforts are helping the UAE move closer to its goal of becoming more self-sufficient in energy.
He praised ADNOC for using new technologies and artificial intelligence in their work. He believes these tools will help the company work more efficiently and create even more value in the future.
The meeting also talked about new projects happening inside the UAE. Three new oil and gas production areas were awarded to ADNOC and its international partners by the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs (SCFEA).
Sheikh Khaled was also informed about XRG, ADNOC’s global investment platform. XRG plans to grow internationally and become one of the top five companies in natural gas and LNG (liquefied natural gas), with a target of 20–25 million tonnes of gas every year by 2035. XRG also wants to become one of the world’s top three companies in the chemicals industry.
ADNOC’s role in the Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, held in May in Abu Dhabi, was also discussed. His Highness praised ADNOC for helping grow local factories and industries, supporting UAE talent, and signing new important agreements to boost the country’s industrial strength.
Lastly, His Highness spoke about the importance of preparing young Emiratis to become future leaders in the energy sector. He appreciated ADNOC’s efforts to train and support UAE youth so they can achieve their goals and meet the future needs of the local and global energy markets.
The meeting was attended by several top UAE leaders including:
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber – Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and ADNOC Group CEO
Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh – Minister of State
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak – Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company
Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi – Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance
This meeting showed ADNOC’s clear path for growth, smart use of technology, and strong support for the UAE’s future in energy.
