Qatar's Minister of Education Enhances Global Educational Relationships at Doha Forum 2025

During her participation in Doha Forum 2025, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, engaged in pivotal meetings aimed at bolstering international cooperation in education. Discussions centered around safeguarding students’ rights, upgrading educational systems, and enhancing the capabilities of educators and learners worldwide.

In a significant meeting with HE Commissioner for Human Rights from the Ukrainian Parliament, Dmytro Lubinets, the Minister addressed the challenges of protecting educational institutions and students in war-torn regions. They considered initiatives aimed at fostering safe, nurturing educational environments for learners affected by conflict.

Additionally, she met with HE Minister of Social Affairs and Labor from the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Hind Kabawat, to explore collaborations and share best practices focused on youth empowerment. Their discussions sought to enhance programs benefiting students and young individuals across both educational and social sectors.

Another key meeting involved HE Vice President for Medical Affairs of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Foundation, Oguljahan Atabaeva, where the focus was on support for students with disabilities. They examined special education programs designed to ensure that learning environments are inclusive and empowering for everyone.

Her Excellency also interacted with the Rector of HSE University in Russia, discussing higher education collaboration, scientific research partnerships, and the development of joint academic initiatives. These efforts are aimed at broadening opportunities for students and researchers while enhancing global academic capacity.

These discussions underscore Qatar’s dedication to forging robust international partnerships in education, protecting the rights of students, promoting inclusivity, and facilitating global capacity building.
