PureHealth has proudly announced its milestone of exceeding AED6.33 billion in local procurement since joining the National In-Country Value (ICV) programme by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) in 2022.
This significant achievement represents a notable rise from AED2.25 billion in 2025, underlining PureHealth's vital role in enhancing the UAE’s economic diversification and industrial development.
The announcement was made during PureHealth's attendance at the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) 2026 event, where the healthcare group highlighted its ongoing commitment to strengthening local industries and enhancing the healthcare ecosystem in the UAE through the ICV programme.
PureHealth is poised to meet its AED13 billion ICV commitment by 2032, focusing on bolstering local supply chains, supporting industries within the UAE, and promoting sustainable economic growth.
The group showcased impressive ICV performance within its healthcare network, with SEHA achieving an ICV score of 81.13 percent, while other entities like Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Daman, PureLab, and Rafed have also made substantial contributions.
PureHealth emphasizes a coordinated approach to incorporating local initiatives into procurement, operations, and workforce development across its sectors.
Rashed AlQubaisi, Group Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth, asserted that the company’s ICV strategy significantly magnifies its influence within the healthcare arena.
He stated that surpassing AED6.33 billion in local procurement highlights PureHealth’s dedication to investing in local suppliers, fostering national capabilities, and enhancing sourcing and logistics processes. Furthermore, he noted that prioritizing local capabilities strengthens supply chain resilience, ensures continuity of care, and supports the UAE’s long-term economic advancement.
PureHealth’s contributions have been recognized nationally, with SEHA winning the ICV Champion Award at Make it in the Emirates in 2026, while Rafed received the same accolades in 2025 for its role in boosting SME participation through the ICV programme.
Additionally, Daman garnered three awards from the federal Emiratisation initiative Nafis, including first place for “Efforts Supporting Emiratisation” and a Diamond Category award for employee empowerment.
