KSrelief Initiates Construction of 13 Schools in Yemen, Impacting 59,000 Lives

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a collaborative agreement aimed at the construction and rehabilitation of 13 educational institutions in the Lahj and Al-Dhale governorates of Yemen. This agreement was finalized during a virtual meeting with representatives from a civil society group.

Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz, the Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs at KSrelief, presided over the signing of this impactful deal.

The initiative will result in the development of new facilities for both primary and secondary levels, specifically targeting rural and hard-to-reach communities. This effort is designed to enhance educational access where existing infrastructure is either lacking or has suffered damage.

Central to this project is the construction of over 45 fully-equipped classrooms, which are expected to alleviate overcrowding and cater to students in regions where education has faced significant disruption.

An estimated 59,851 beneficiaries, including both male and female students, will see improvements as this initiative directly addresses their educational needs.

This project is a key component of KSrelief's broader humanitarian mission to advance education in Yemen, contributing to the establishment and support of over 1,200 educational facilities nationwide.
