In a significant diplomatic engagement, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates have pledged to enhance their bilateral economic ties. This commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting in Astana between Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zayudi, the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.
The dialogue centered around broadening collaboration in key sectors such as trade, investment, energy, agriculture, logistics, tourism, digital transformation, and infrastructure enhancement. Both nations acknowledged the growing significance of economic partnerships in fostering sustainable growth and improving regional connectivity.
Discussions included strategies to boost trade levels and attract increased investment between the two nations. The talks also aimed to cultivate a conducive environment for businesses and investors keen on engaging in emerging economic ventures and cross-border developments.
A central theme was the execution of shared projects with the potential for long-term economic diversification. Sectors like energy development, agricultural innovation, tourism enhancement, and initiatives in the digital economy were highlighted as areas ripe for future collaboration between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE.
Moreover, the meeting meticulously addressed the new avenues for cooperation that have emerged through the partnership between the UAE and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Both parties noted that the Economic Partnership Agreement between the EAEU and the UAE presents new opportunities for trade, investment, and market access for businesses across the region.
The officials also underscored the vital role of the upcoming third session of the Kyrgyz-Emirati Joint Intergovernmental Commission, which is anticipated to identify concrete projects and practical mechanisms for advancing bilateral initiatives.
During the discussions, the Kyrgyz representatives reiterated their eagerness to strengthen ties with the UAE and broaden cooperation in ways that yield shared economic advantages. The government expressed its resolve to foster a stable and enticing environment for foreign investors and strategic partners.
This meeting signifies the escalating momentum in Kyrgyz-UAE relations as both nations aim to elevate economic diplomacy, promote investment partnerships, and unveil new avenues for business collaboration in an increasingly integrated global landscape.
