Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The “Run for the Nation” event witnessed the participation of over 25,000 individuals from throughout the UAE, exemplifying a profound sense of unity, inclusivity, and community responsibility.

Kicking off with a breathtaking aerial performance by the Fursan Al Emarat, which adorned the skies in the colors of the UAE flag, the event began on a high note, symbolizing national pride.

Starting at Wahat Al Karama, a significant national landmark, and concluding at Erth Abu Dhabi, the route underscored the message that safeguarding the nation is a collective duty, grounded in awareness and solidarity.

Participants varied widely, from senior citizens and People of Determination to youth, families, and professional athletes. This diversity underscored the inclusive nature of the UAE's society and its commitment to national initiatives.

Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi commended the event, stating it reflects a strong level of community engagement and the deep ties citizens have with their nation. He noted that such initiatives foster a culture of readiness, unity, and active societal participation.

Post-run, families and participants congregated at a community village set up at Erth Abu Dhabi, which featured entertainment, activities, and programs aimed at nurturing social interaction in a welcoming atmosphere.

The event was orchestrated by the Zayed Charity Run Higher Organizing Committee in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, receiving support from numerous sponsors, including International Golden Group, Aldar, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Burjeel Holdings, Arabian Radio Network, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre.

The remarkable turnout for the Run for the Nation reiterates its significance as a premier national initiative, promoting unity, wellness, and advancing Abu Dhabi’s vision of a cohesive and dynamic society.
