Tonight is the big night — the Champions League final between Inter Milan and PSG. These two teams have never played each other in an official match before. Now, they meet for the most important prize in club football, right at the Allianz Arena. It’s going to be a fascinating game because both teams play very differently.
Inter Milan, coached by Inzaghi, is a special team. Their style is smart and practical, but their biggest strength is their mental toughness. They never give up. They’ve reached two Champions League finals in just three years. On paper, they don’t have as much money as PSG, but their coach has done an amazing job. Many of their best players joined without big transfer fees, and even though the team is getting older, they still play very well together.
PSG is a very different team now under coach Luis Enrique. You might remember when they had stars like Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe, but still couldn’t get past the round of 16. Now, they have moved on from trying to build a team full of superstars and focused on young, hungry players who work well as a group. They still spent a lot to bring in these new players, but PSG looks like a new team. They attack together and defend together.
What about Mbappe? It’s interesting to think about what’s on his mind tonight. He left PSG last year to join Real Madrid, his dream club. Now, his old team is so close to winning the Champions League, just a year after he left. Last season, there was that moment when Luis Enrique asked Mbappe to track back and help defend, and you could see the tension. PSG now has Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Doue, and Barcola, all ready to work hard in attack and defense. Their midfield is also very strong. This young team looks ready to take the final step — but only time will tell if they can win it.
PSG is also chasing something special — a treble, which means winning three major trophies in one season. No French team has ever done that before. Mbappe had an amazing season at Real Madrid. He won the European Golden Shoe and was the top scorer in La Liga, but Real Madrid didn’t win a big trophy this year, which is disappointing for them. Meanwhile, PSG, the club Mbappe left, is just 90 minutes away from winning the Champions League — the very trophy they tried to win when Mbappe was there. Back then, they lost the final to Bayern Munich.
If I were Mbappe, I would feel many different emotions tonight. As a human being, it’s normal to have mixed feelings. Does he want his former teammates to finally win the trophy? Or does he wish he had been there to win it with them? These are the kind of thoughts going through the mind of a great player watching his old club on the biggest stage.
This final will be more than just a game — it’s a story full of passion, hope, and dreams.
