Businessman Sunjay Kapur, who was once married to Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, has sadly passed away at the age of 53. He reportedly died from a heart attack while playing polo in England. The news has shocked many people, both in the film world and in business circles.

Sunjay was well-known not only because of his past relationship with Karisma Kapoor but also for his strong role in the corporate world. He was married to Priya Sachdev at the time of his death. Before that, he was married to Karisma Kapoor. They got married in 2003 but faced many problems in their marriage. After a long legal battle, they officially separated in 2014. Sunjay and Karisma have two children together—a daughter named Samaira and a son named Kiaan.

Sunjay’s sudden death was confirmed by author and columnist Suhel Seth. On June 12, 2025, Suhel Seth posted on social media platform X:
"Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues @sonacomstar. Om Shanti."

What made this even more emotional was that earlier on the same day, Sunjay Kapur had posted a message online expressing sadness over a tragic Air India plane crash near Ahmedabad. In what turned out to be one of his last social media messages, he wrote:
"Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour. #planecrash."

Sunjay was known for being active and fit. He loved playing polo and enjoyed sports. His sudden passing has left many people shocked and deeply saddened.

Friends and people who worked with him are sharing their memories and offering tributes. They remember him as a strong businessman and a loving father. His work in the car parts industry, especially with his company Sona Comstar, earned him great respect.

His loss is not only felt by his family and close friends but also by many others who looked up to him for his strength and commitment during both good and tough times.
