Salman Khan Celebrates Cricket Legends on Bigg Boss 19

Post by : Mina Rahman

The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar was a memorable occasion as host Salman Khan welcomed iconic Indian women’s cricket players Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra, honoring India’s inaugural ICC Women’s World Cup triumph.

A Salute to the Women Cricketers

In an Instagram clip, Salman welcomed the cricket legends with warmth, reminiscing about Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur's promise to Jhulan about clinching the World Cup. Jhulan reflected, “The moment they presented me with the trophy was the pinnacle of my cricket journey.”

When queried on the significance of this victory, Anjum Chopra remarked, “It is bound to inspire daughters of parents to aspire to be the next Jhulan, Smriti, or Harman, thus motivating the young generation ahead.”

Joyful Moments and Social Media Buzz

Jhulan Goswami later posted snapshots from her time at Bigg Boss 19 on social media, showcasing her moments with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra. She captioned, “This month has been filled with unforgettable experiences, and this is definitely one of the highlights. I enjoyed sharing the stage with Salman and Anjum.”

Historic Triumph of the World Cup

On November 2, the Indian women's cricket team, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, triumphed over South Africa by a margin of 52 runs. The team presented the trophy to cricket legends Jhulan Goswami, Anjum Chopra, and Mithali Raj as a tribute to their invaluable contributions to women’s cricket.

This World Cup victory has reignited discussions about the release of Jhulan Goswami’s biopic, Chakda Xpress, featuring Anushka Sharma, which faced delays due to previous disagreements between the production house and Netflix.
