Bahrain Lauds UAE Efforts in Russia-Ukraine Prisoner Exchange

The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its appreciation for the United Arab Emirates' successful mediation in a recent prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine. This significant exchange, which involves a total of 410 captives, is viewed by Bahrain as a constructive humanitarian measure aimed at alleviating tensions and fostering a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis.

In an official statement from the Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs lauded the UAE's proactive diplomatic and humanitarian involvement in facilitating this exchange. They emphasized the UAE's persistent efforts throughout the Russia-Ukraine conflict, highlighting its achievements in securing the release of 7,101 detainees via 23 specific mediation initiatives.

Additionally, Bahrain reiterated its support for all initiatives, both regional and international, focused on ending the conflict through dialogue and peaceful negotiations. The ministry underscored the necessity of mitigating the humanitarian fallout of the war, bolstering regional and international stability, and achieving a just and lasting peace.

The UAE's active humanitarian participation in recent mediations between Russia and Ukraine has earned it global acknowledgment for facilitating prisoner exchanges amid the ongoing conflict.
