ADEK Launches Initiative to Honor UAE Frontline Heroes Through Student Creativity

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is calling on students throughout the emirate to engage in the “Frontliners Tribute Initiative,” aimed at recognizing the dedication of frontline heroes who safeguard and serve the community.

This initiative, part of the National Art Expressions Program, aligns with the UAE’s National Resilience campaign and encourages students of all ages and backgrounds to convey their appreciation through various creative mediums like art, writing, music, and innovative projects.

According to ADEK, this initiative transcends traditional school activities. It creates an opportunity for students to express their gratitude towards vital frontline personnel, including healthcare workers, educators, and those in uniform, who play a crucial role in maintaining societal safety and welfare.

Participants can express themselves in diverse ways, from producing poems and paintings to composing songs and other creative endeavors. This initiative is non-competitive, ensuring that every submission is treated with equal respect and acknowledgment.

As part of the initiative, ADEK plans to unveil a Digital Gallery in June 2026 that will feature selected works from students. This online platform will serve as a lasting tribute of creative expressions that illustrate gratitude and solidarity throughout the UAE, with exceptional entries possibly displayed in public locations.

The submission period will commence on April 27 and conclude on May 11, 2026. Schools will receive full participation guidelines and instructions through official communication channels.

ADEK encourages schools and families to support students in this endeavor, fostering a collective national expression of gratitude through creative means for frontline heroes.
