The meeting took place on April 22, 2026, in Hanoi, where Vietnamese Deputy PM Ho Quoc Dung welcomed his South Korean counterpart Bae Kyung Hoon amid President Lee Jae Myung's official visit to Vietnam, attended by senior officials from both nations.

During their exchanges, Deputy PM Ho Quoc Dung underscored the importance of this occasion in furthering Vietnam-South Korea ties, noting that cooperation in science and technology is becoming increasingly crucial for both countries, yielding promising initial outcomes.

Vietnam has reiterated its dedication to enhancing its relationship with South Korea, grounded in trust and a commitment to mutual development. The government hopes this visit will catalyze more effective and impactful collaboration in the years to come.

The Vietnamese government has urged South Korean investors to explore opportunities in vital sectors including infrastructure, high-tech manufacturing, semiconductors, biotechnology, and smart city development.
