The United Arab Emirates has firmly denounced the missile and drone assaults launched by Iran against Kuwait, labeling these acts as serious infringements of international law and an affront to Kuwait’s sovereignty.
In an official statement made by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the assaults are a “blatant violation” of Kuwait’s territorial integrity and pose a direct threat to its security and regional stability.
The UAE emphasized that such actions compromise peace initiatives within the region and heighten tensions during a critical period for all Gulf nations. It reaffirmed its staunch rejection of any aggression that jeopardizes the safety of nations or disrupts peace in the area.
The statement also conveyed the UAE’s unwavering solidarity with Kuwait and its leadership, government, and citizens. It expressed full support for all measures Kuwait may adopt to safeguard its security and protect its airspace.
This condemnation arose shortly after Kuwait’s armed forces announced that their air defense systems had successfully intercepted several hostile missiles and drones attempting to breach its airspace. The military confirmed that these attacks were detected and neutralized without causing significant damage.
Kuwaiti authorities remain vigilant, with security agencies actively monitoring the situation and investigating the origins and intentions behind the assaults.
The UAE reiterated that ensuring security and stability in the Gulf region is a collective responsibility, urging all parties to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation.
