Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Al Gergawi recently inaugurated two groundbreaking initiatives: the “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme” and the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative.” These programs were unveiled at the Uzbekistan Zero Bureaucracy Forum and the Uzbekistan Artificial Intelligence Forum in Tashkent, reflecting the robust strategic partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan.
Gathering ministers, officials, and experts from the two nations, the forums focused on sharing best practices in enhancing government efficiency and the role of artificial intelligence in public sectors. Success stories from the UAE in minimizing bureaucratic processes served as a benchmark for Uzbekistan's Zero Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to streamline administrative functions and enhance the quality of government services.
The Zero Bureaucracy Forum asserted that lowering administrative obstacles will enrich citizen experiences, spur innovations within government frameworks, and foster both economic and social development. By integrating advanced methodologies, Uzbekistan seeks to bolster governmental performance and meet its development aspirations.
At the Artificial Intelligence Forum, the “Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative” was introduced, aiming to equip five million individuals with AI prompt engineering skills over the next three years. This initiative aspires to cultivate a skilled workforce, foster innovation, and accelerate economic advancement through AI and technological solutions. Attendees witnessed UAE and Uzbek officials exchanging insights on AI applications across education, public services, and additional essential sectors, with discussions on AI's potential for personalized learning, skills enhancement, and inventive governance solutions.
The collaboration between the UAE and Uzbekistan for government modernization has its roots dating back to 2019 and was renewed for six more years in 2021, encompassing various fields like digital transformation, leadership development, industry advancement, and health services. This partnership also supports Uzbekistan's Vision 2040, incorporating global best practices in governance and technology.
Both forums underscored the necessity for innovative approaches and the leveraging of international expertise. The UAE shared valuable experiences in enhancing citizen satisfaction and modernizing service delivery through technology. The collaborative initiatives seek to boost the skill sets of government personnel, drive digital innovation, and position Uzbekistan dominantly in regional efficient governance and AI integration.
The launch of these programs exemplifies the deepening alliance between the UAE and Uzbekistan as they modernize government operations, advance sustainable growth, and gear up for impending challenges. The Zero Bureaucracy Programme and the AI training initiative are set to create significant enhancements in public service delivery, citizen satisfaction, and economic development, marking a pivotal advancement in Uzbekistan's digital and bureaucratic evolution.
