Abu Dhabi witnessed a significant diplomatic meeting today as President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan warmly welcomed President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia, who arrived in the UAE for a working visit. The visit underlines the strong ties between the two countries and their commitment to working together on shared goals.

During the meeting, the leaders focused on expanding cooperation in key areas such as the economy, development projects, investment opportunities, and renewable energy. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen their Comprehensive Economic Partnership, highlighting the importance of promoting mutual interests, supporting national development plans, and ensuring benefits for the people of both nations.

The conversation also touched on regional and global matters, where both leaders expressed serious concern over recent events affecting peace and stability in the Middle East. In particular, they condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, reaffirming their solidarity with the Qatari people. They emphasized that such attacks threaten regional security, destabilize peace efforts, and could have wider consequences for neighboring countries.

Accompanying President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed during the talks were H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs. Several ministers and senior officials were also present, reflecting the importance of this high-level engagement.

President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier today and was officially welcomed at the Presidential Airport by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His visit is part of ongoing efforts to boost bilateral relations, explore new investment and development projects, and discuss regional security concerns affecting both the UAE and Indonesia.

The two leaders agreed on the need to continue building strong economic ties, particularly by encouraging collaboration in renewable energy projects. This aligns with global efforts to transition to clean energy while also creating jobs and promoting sustainable growth. Both countries recognized that stronger cooperation would not only enhance trade and investment but also foster closer people-to-people connections.

In addition to economic discussions, the leaders shared their perspectives on global challenges, emphasizing diplomacy, peaceful resolutions, and cooperation. They reaffirmed their commitment to a stable and secure region, supporting initiatives that promote harmony and mutual respect.

This high-profile meeting highlights the UAE’s commitment to deepening relations with Southeast Asian nations and shows Indonesia’s active engagement in international diplomacy. It also underscores the UAE’s role as a hub for dialogue, investment, and regional peace initiatives.

Overall, the visit of President Subianto to the UAE marks a significant step in strengthening UAE-Indonesia relations, ensuring that both countries continue to collaborate on economic growth, sustainable development, and regional stability.
