Fujairah's Ruler Engages with Yasha Group to Enhance UAE-China Ties

H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah and Supreme Council Member, received Ding Zecheng, Chairman of China’s Yasha Group, and his delegation at Al Rumaila Palace. Their discussions aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation between the UAE and China, centering on pathways to advance sustainability, smart city initiatives, and innovations crucial for both nations.

In the course of their dialogue, H.H. Sheikh Hamad learned about Yasha Group’s initiatives in enhancing building efficiency and contributing to smart city frameworks. Emphasizing sustainable practices, the group also showcased its commitment to fostering youth-led innovative programs. The Ruler affirmed his backing for initiatives that resonate with Fujairah’s objective of sustainable economic and technological progress.

Chairman Ding Zecheng commended Fujairah’s conducive investment climate, highlighting the emirate's encouragement of projects that merge cultural identity with contemporary architecture. He underscored architecture’s role in bridging civilizations and expressed a desire to collaborate on various building and cultural ventures. Discussions also delved into the potential for implementing advanced green construction methods and digital technologies within local projects, supporting long-term urban growth.

The meeting saw the participation of key officials, including Mohammed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court, and Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director-General of Fujairah Municipality. Both sides expressed positive expectations for future partnerships aimed at creating innovative solutions beneficial to the economy, environment, and social fabric, affirming Fujairah’s strategic position as a center for sustainable investment and a partner for global entities wishing to blend modern development with cultural heritage.
