In a tragic incident, a 16-year-old boy lost his life due to a stabbing in Windsor, prompting police to arrest a suspect and launch a homicide investigation. This event has heightened community concern as authorities delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the case.

Police reported that they arrived at the 300 block of McDougall Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday after receiving notifications about a violent incident. Emergency medical teams found the youth with severe stab wounds, and despite immediate medical attention at a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

Thanks to a rapid response, law enforcement apprehended a suspect not long after the incident occurred, just blocks away on Goyeau Street. However, authorities have yet to disclose information regarding the suspect's identity or the factors that led to the stabbing.

Investigators are currently focused on piecing together the events that led to the fatal altercation, including the relationship between the victim and suspect. The area has been secured for evidence collection and witness interviews.
