On the morning of Eid Al Adha, pilgrims who had traveled from Muzdalifah commenced the pivotal stoning ritual at Mina's Jamrat Al Aqaba, an essential act in the Hajj pilgrimage.
This ritual was executed under stringent security and health protocols, ensuring that pilgrims could perform their sacred rites safely and efficiently.
The facilities at Jamarat enabled effective crowd management, aided by vigilant monitoring teams and meticulous operational strategies to facilitate safe transit between the holy sites.
According to reports from the Saudi Press Agency, an increase in services included the deployment of medical teams and sanitation staff, dedicated to ensuring the safety and comfort of the pilgrims.
Continuous shuttle services, including the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro, provided timely transportation for pilgrims moving between key locations, minimizing delays and easing congestion.
The stoning of Jamrat Al Aqaba is a fundamental component of Hajj, taking place after pilgrims rest in Muzdalifah. It precedes other significant rites of the Day of Sacrifice, such as animal slaughter, head shaving, and Tawaf Al Ifadah.
