Kyrgyzstan Unveils Altyn Logistics Center in Balykchy

Post by : Shakul

Kyrgyzstan has inaugurated the “Altyn Logistics” international logistics center in Balykchy, marking a significant advancement in its efforts to elevate regional trade and transportation connections. Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, was present at the opening ceremony and declared the initiative a crucial move toward amplifying the nation’s logistics capabilities.

During the event held in the Issyk-Kul region, Kasymaliev underscored Kyrgyzstan’s advantageous geographic position at a central junction of major transport routes and its potential to emerge as a pivotal logistics hub in Central Asia. He also highlighted the center’s strategic location along the renowned Great Silk Road.

Officials noted that the “Altyn Logistics” center is set to be a vital transport nexus uniting China, neighboring Central Asian nations, and CIS members. They anticipate that this project will catalyze a surge in regional trade, enhance transport efficiency, and fortify Kyrgyzstan’s standing within the global logistics framework.

Developed by Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC, the logistics hub spans 5.5 hectares and features state-of-the-art transport and storage facilities crafted for secure and effective cargo handling operations. Reports indicate that the center is equipped to manage up to 200 trucks daily.

Government officials have also pointed out the significant economic impact expected from this initiative, which has already created over 80 jobs, fostering new employment opportunities for the local community and bolstering regional economic development.

In his address, Kasymaliev commended Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC for its growing influence beyond the mining sector, as it increasingly commits resources to logistics and development while maintaining a robust financial outlook. Officials revealed that the company contributed upwards of 18.7 billion soms to the state budget by the close of 2025.

This logistics center signifies Kyrgyzstan’s long-term vision to become a critical trade and transport link between Asia and surrounding markets. Authorities stress that enhancing infrastructure and increasing logistics capabilities remain crucial for fostering economic growth and attracting foreign investment.

The government is optimistic that the launch of the “Altyn Logistics” center will strengthen trade relations, boost transit cargo volumes, and open new cooperative avenues between Kyrgyzstan and its neighbor nations in the near future.
