UAE and UK Lawmakers Enhance Strategic Ties

During an official visit to the UK Parliament in London, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee in the Federal National Council (FNC), engaged with the Speaker of the UK House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle. This meeting, also featuring UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom Mansoor Abdullah Abulhoul, exemplified the ongoing efforts to fortify the partnership between the UAE and the UK.

Al Nuaimi conveyed regards from FNC Speaker Saqr Ghobash, emphasizing the robust nature of UAE-UK ties, with both nations progressing in various political, economic, and security areas. Key discussions revolved around enhancing parliamentary collaboration that mirrors their evolving bilateral relations.

The dialogue delved into both regional and global issues, with both parties recognizing the growing challenges necessitating closer cooperation. They underlined the vital role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting stability, fostering dialogue, combating divisive narratives, and supporting humanitarian initiatives in sensitive regions.

The significance of ongoing communication between legislative bodies was highlighted, particularly amidst the changing geopolitical landscape.
