Python Surprise: Brisbane Woman Discovers Snake in Bed

Python Surprise: Brisbane Woman Discovers Snake in Bed

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In an astonishing incident in Brisbane, Australia, a woman discovered a hefty carpet python lying atop her while she slept, leading to a panic-filled moment.

Rachel Bloor initially thought the unfamiliar weight on her body was her pet labradoodle. However, upon feeling unexpected movement, she quickly realized the truth. In an interview with ABC News, she recounted how she roused her husband and requested him to illuminate the room.

When her husband turned on the lights, he spotted a two-and-a-half-metre carpet python coiled comfortably on their bed. He calmly advised her to remain still, first ensuring their dogs were removed from the vicinity before leaving her with the snake.

From a separate room, he provided instructions for her to carefully crawl out from beneath the covers. With slow movements, Ms. Bloor successfully vacated the bed unscathed and assisted in guiding the python outside through a window.

Ms. Bloor suspects that the snake made its way up to the second floor, managed to open a plantation shutter, and subsequently found its resting place on her bed.

Having grown up in rural settings, she expressed that she holds no fear of snakes. In a light-hearted comment, she mentioned her relief that it wasn’t a toad, as she finds them much more frightening.
