His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the 2025 Dubai Airshow today, highlighting the event at Dubai World Central, themed “The Future is Here.” This year’s exhibition, open until 21st November, unites leaders from the global aviation, aerospace, and defense sectors.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohamed explored both indoor and outdoor displays, taking note of the revolutionary technologies presented by local and international firms. Showcasing advancements ranging from civil aviation upgrades to next-gen military aircraft and air-defense systems, the event demonstrated an impressive array of innovations.
A standout moment of the tour was the unveiling of the Badr-250 (B-250), a versatile aircraft entirely crafted by Emirati engineers at Calidus Group. This achievement underscores the UAE’s expanding defense manufacturing capabilities, signifying years of local expertise and ingenuity. Sheikh Mohamed closely examined the aircraft and interacted with its development team.
At the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement booth, he was updated on initiatives aimed at enhancing a robust, future-ready defense ecosystem in the UAE, displaying current projects that bolster local manufacturing and sustainable industrial growth.
Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the notable advancements made in the UAE’s defense and aerospace sector, commending the contributions of Emirati talent and the rising significance of local companies in the international arena. He reiterated the vital role of the Dubai Airshow as a reliable venue for bringing together innovators, manufacturers, and industry leaders to identify new opportunities.
Upon arriving at Dubai World Central, Sheikh Mohamed received a warm welcome from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, along with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The leaders exchanged pleasantries before commencing the tour.
Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed met with Wei Yingbiao, Board Member and President of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) during the event, discussing the importance of the Dubai Airshow in linking global industry stakeholders and showcasing advanced systems.
Accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, and other senior officials, Sheikh Mohamed’s visit marked a notable occasion at one of the world’s premier aerospace conventions.
