Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has successfully implemented its “Little Hearts” initiative in Bangladesh, delivering critical medical assistance to children afflicted with heart ailments during a humanitarian trip headed by Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi.
The initiative was overseen by a team of volunteer medical professionals, led by Dr. Ahmed Al Kamali. Throughout this mission, the team conducted 65 cardiac catheterisations and assessed nearly 160 young patients at the Heart Diseases Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital.
Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi elaborated that the “Little Hearts” initiative has been tirelessly pursuing its humanitarian goals since its inception in 2009, aiming to assist children in dire need of cardiac care whose families lack the means for costly medical procedures.
He described the initiative as a crucial helpline for many children, showcasing SCI’s unwavering commitment to delivering specialized healthcare in regions grappling with medical and economic hardships. He emphasized that the UAE’s humanitarian initiatives are designed to create direct, positive changes in lives and alleviate suffering through tangible medical support.
During the visit, SCI also inaugurated the Dar Al Rahma Orphan Care Home located in Dubail Sadar Tangail. This facility features a mosque and offers residential and educational services, aimed at enhancing the living standards, education, and social stability for orphans.
Moreover, the delegation provided 100 food baskets filled with essential supplies to families and benefactors in need.
This campaign underscores Sharjah Charity International’s ongoing humanitarian mission to uplift vulnerable communities and enhance healthcare and social welfare in Bangladesh.
