In a significant move under the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has partnered with Lenovo Saudi Arabia. This collaboration sets out to train and employ 100 Saudi men and women for prominent technical and engineering positions. The agreement was formalized during the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) held in Riyadh, emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to nurturing local talent.
Lenovo will be introducing its inaugural specialized industrial training program in the Kingdom as part of this agreement. The initiative aims to equip Saudi nationals with competitive skills tailored for careers in advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries. Training will occur both domestically and internationally, with comprehensive backing from HRDF, and aligns with Lenovo’s strategic collaboration with Alat, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s human capabilities agenda in cutting-edge industries.
The program is designed for 100 Saudi participants who will acquire necessary skills for vital positions in the industrial sector. Training will encompass various subjects including engineering fields, production engineering, materials management, planning, and quality control. This progressive approach guarantees a thorough development path for a qualified workforce ready to tackle the Kingdom’s expanding industrial demands. Participants will benefit from practical training and expert guidance to enhance their skills and professional know-how.
Selected candidates will transition to become full-time employees at Lenovo while enrolling in the ISTDAM Advanced Talent Development Program. This four-month immersive training track is centered on cultivating essential skills needed for high-tech industry roles. Merging employment with specialized learning, this initiative fortifies Saudi Arabia’s talent pipeline while offering real-world exposure to the latest industrial practices.
This collaboration signifies Saudi Arabia’s dedication to developing a premier national workforce capable of propelling growth in advanced technology and manufacturing sectors. Furthermore, the agreement positions the Kingdom as a frontrunner in sustainable industrial development and strategic human capital investments, aptly inviting global firms like Lenovo to play a significant role in Saudi Arabia’s industrial landscape.
This partnership serves as a blueprint for future collaborations, establishing a transparent route for international companies to engage with the Kingdom’s advanced industrial infrastructure. With modern facilities and a skilled workforce, Saudi Arabia is emerging as a hotspot for innovation. It is anticipated that leading technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, and sustainable manufacturing will gain a strong presence in the Saudi market.
By integrating specialized training, employment opportunities, and international expertise, this initiative ensures that Saudi nationals are well-equipped for key roles in advanced manufacturing and tech industries. The program is a testament to the Kingdom’s ambition to foster talent, elevate industrial capacities, and meet long-term economic development objectives.
