The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has announced essential safety measures for Hajj pilgrims heading towards the Day of Arafah. Pilgrims are advised to remain within their Arafat camps until 4:00 PM on the ninth day of Dhu Al Hijjah to protect themselves from extreme heat exposure.
These measures are designed to safeguard pilgrims from the risks of heat stress during the hottest hours of the day, ensuring they can fulfill one of the core rituals of Hajj comfortably.
Additionally, the ministry confirmed that the Arafah Day sermon will be streamed live via audio and visual systems throughout the camps, allowing pilgrims to listen to the sermon without leaving their designated spaces.
Pilgrims are also reminded to adhere strictly to prescribed transportation schedules and movement guidelines. Authorities cautioned pilgrims against venturing into traffic areas or unauthorized regions, as these actions could hinder crowd management and disrupt the smooth transit between holy locations.
Furthermore, the ministry has advised against climbing Jabal Al Rahmah, citing safety issues related to excessive crowding and high temperatures.
Saudi authorities emphasize that compliance with these directives is vital for ensuring a safe, organized, and harmonious Hajj experience, thereby enhancing crowd control during the pilgrimage.
