Cristiano Ronaldo Leads Al Nassr to 4-2 Victory Over Al Wahda in Friendly Face-Off

Post by : Mara Rahim

Cristiano Ronaldo demonstrated once again that age is just a number, scoring a goal during Al Nassr’s 4-2 victory against Al Wahda in a friendly match at Abu Dhabi’s Al Nahyan Stadium. Following his sensational bicycle kick weeks earlier, the Portuguese icon netted again, celebrating with his signature SIUUU, much to the crowd's excitement.

Though the Saudi Pro League is on a break, both sides brought intensity and competitiveness to the encounter. Ronaldo set the tone early by scoring in the 12th minute, delivering a precise right-footed shot into the corner from a well-executed corner kick. Facundo Kruspzky quickly equalized for Al Wahda in the 20th minute, but Al Nassr responded with Kingsley Coman's incredible strike just 10 minutes later.

Not to be outdone, Al Wahda leveled again in the 35th minute with a goal from Serbian midfielder Dušan Tadić. The teams went into the break at 2-2, but Al Nassr came back with renewed vigor. Haroune Camara found the net shortly after halftime, putting his team ahead 3-2. Saad Fahad Al Nasser then sealed the game with a final goal, solidifying their 4-2 win.

In the last few minutes, Al Nassr maintained control to clinch the victory. Though Ronaldo's goal was notable, it will not be included in his official career stats, leaving him at 954 total goals, just 46 short of the monumental 1,000-goal mark. His last registered goal occurred in late November against Al Khaleej.

Ronaldo also ranks as Al Nassr’s second-leading scorer for this season with 10 goals, trailing teammate Joao Felix by just one. As the Saudi Pro League prepares to resume on December 21, fans around the globe are eager to see if CR7 can keep up his extraordinary performance, as he inches closer to the historic 1,000-goal milestone.
