Inaugural WRC Rally in Saudi Arabia to Launch in Jeddah

Excitement builds for the first-ever FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) event in Saudi Arabia, known as Rally Saudi Arabia Powered by Jameel Motorsport. Set to commence from November 26 to 29 in Jeddah, this landmark race marks a significant addition to the 2025 WRC season while bringing attention to Saudi Arabia's growing role in global sports.

Coordinated by the Saudi Motorsport Company alongside the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and under the guidance of the Ministry of Sport, this historic rally will welcome 82 drivers and co-drivers from 25 different countries. Participants will challenge themselves in three competitive categories across a total distance of 1,218 kilometers, which includes 319 kilometers of 17 special stages designed to assess their skills, endurance, and adaptability.

The route will weave through Jeddah's diverse landscapes, passing through Khulais, Asfan, Thahban, Umm Al-Jurm, Al-Ghawla, and Wadi Al-Mutwi. Organizers describe the course as a combination of speed and technique, requiring precise control and strategic decision-making to navigate its multifaceted phases. The stunning terrains range from rocky trails to expansive deserts, offering both a challenge and a visual feast of Saudi Arabia's western region.

Prior to the highly anticipated race, a vibrant parade of participant vehicles will occur along the Jeddah Corniche on November 21. This event will give fans an exceptional chance to get up close with the leading drivers and teams, ramping up the excitement ahead of the competitive phases. Participants will also have opportunities to discover Historic Jeddah, engaging with the city's rich cultural tapestry while merging sports with heritage.

The 2025 Rally Saudi Arabia highlights the Kingdom's milestone in joining the ranks of nations hosting World Rally Championship events, further establishing its status as a key player in international motorsport. This endeavor is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing Vision 2030 strategy to diversify its economy, empower the youth, and enhance its global image.
