On Thursday, Qatar held further consultative sessions for the National Human Rights Action Plan (2026-2030) as part of its commitment to foster a robust framework for enhancing and safeguarding human rights within its borders.
These sessions were led by the designated committee and chaired by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad.
Hosting the meeting was HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, with participation from committee members and various experts.
During the discussions, attendees examined the duties of the Ministry of Justice and explored proposals intended to bolster the National Human Rights Action Plan. They also prioritized keeping the plan in sync with Qatar’s national policies and current legislation.
This series of consultative sessions embodies the committee's inclusive approach, aimed at aggregating perspectives, sharing ideas, and engaging different stakeholders in crafting an actionable national strategy.
