In response to the escalating water crisis in Taiz, Yemen, Qatar Charity (QC) has initiated an emergency water supply project.
This initiative aims to assist approximately 13,500 individuals residing in three key districts—Al Mudaffar, Salh, and Al Qahira—that are enduring significant water shortages due to extended drought.
To combat this issue, the project has established 108 water distribution points, with 36 located in each district, ensuring that affected communities have regular access to clean drinking water.
Currently, Taiz is facing one of Yemen's most acute water shortages, especially in elevated regions where water supply disruptions may last for several months.
Families in these districts are grappling with the daily challenge of securing safe drinking water, which intensifies both financial strain and hardship for vulnerable households.
Through this critical project, Qatar Charity intends to alleviate the hardships faced by residents and enhance their access to vital water resources.
